Internet Safety

Safer Internet Use

All of our children are exposed to a variety of different media during their time in our school and we feel it is of up-most importance to teach them how to keep themselves safe. Together with the School Council the children have created a charter which helps them to keep safe at school when using the Internet. This poster is displayed throughout our school and is referred to in order to support the children's confidence and understanding.

As part of our internet safety day the children created a tag-line of:

Lock it! Block it! Show it! Tell it!

This encourages them to remember to "lock" their passwords away so personal information can not be seen by others who should not have access to it. "Block" any unwanted content or 'friend' requests from people they do not know. "Show it" enables the children to show an adult if they are unsure together with "tell" the adult what you are unsure about.

If you wish to discuss any of these details further, please approach your child's classteacher.
